We protect the Baltic Sea

Between 6 and 9 June 2016 Peter Torkler, Managing Director of baltcf is invited to meet the Minister of natural resources and ecology of Kaliningrad region. The aim of the meeting is to discuss a possible cooperation in the area of biodiversity protection and wetland conservation in the region of Kaliningrad. Wetlands serve an important role for biodiversity and water retention and natural purification. Ten important wetlands are located in the area of Kaliningrad, but just three of them have a proper protection regime.

Peter Torkler will also explore cooperation opportunities with the Curonian Spit national Park and can be contacted personally for further cooperation ideas in the region.
