Office staff
The BaltCF office in Rostock manages the day-to-day business of the foundation.
Thomas Winter
Managing Director
Thomas is responsible for the general management, including asset management. He holds a degree in International Business and Cultural Studies, a PhD in International Relations, and an MBA in Sustainability Management.
Dr. Kathleen Schwerdtner Máñez
Project Coordinator
Kathleen coordinates the project portfolio and the project application and management processes. She holds a degree in Landscape Ecology and Nature Conservation and a PhD in Agricultural Economy and Policy.
Helene Witan
Student Assistant
Helene is our student assistant and mainly supports the project side of our activities. She holds a BSc in Biology and is currently in her Master’s programme.
Board of
Directors
The Board of Directors steers the foundation. Its members are conservation experts with a lot of experience in Baltic Sea conservation and the project business. The Board of Directors takes strategic decisions and determines the use of BaltCF’s funds. Funding decisions are always made by the board.
